The rise in cancer cases and the shift toward chronic treatment approaches have resulted in increased chemotherapy production in CPUs. This context is further complicated by challenging working conditions (noise, lighting, physical strain, limited time, team-based tasks, enclosed spaces...), all of which may contribute to the development of health issues among staff. In this context, workstation analysis proves to be a key method for identifying and reducing occupational hazards, especially MSDs.
Through a hands-on experience, participants will learn how to effectively conduct a workstation study and identify the key factors for minimizing MSDs.
The multidisciplinary nature of the workshop speakers highlights the importance of drawing on specialized prevention expertise (ergonomists, risk prevention specialists, occupational physicians, HSE engineers) as well as the operational knowledge of on-site teams (pharmacists, supervisors, pharmacy technicians).
The methodology and various stages of a workstation study will be presented in detail. Workshop facilitators will share their experiences and the solutions they have implemented, offering valuable insights to the audience. Finally, a discussion will be held on the future evolution of CPUs and the strategies needed to prevent MSDs.
