Introduction
In response to a request from the National Association of Hospital Pharmacy Technicians (Association Nationale des Préparateurs en Pharmacie Hospitalière (ANPPH)) to deliver Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) workshops, and the changes associated with the new version published in 2023, our team designed an original game, the BPP Quiz®, based on the format of a French TV quiz show.

Objective
To assess the relevance of a game-based training for Hospital Pharmacy Technicians (HPT).

Methods
A pair of animators presented an edutainment training tool in a workshop form, first to a test audience, and then at a congress providing QUALIOPI training. During the conference, four one-hour workshops, each with 50 players, were held over two consecutive half-days. Each workshop consisted of a 30-minute game followed by a 30-minute debriefing session. Players were given an open-form satisfaction questionnaire at the end of the workshop.

Results
Each pair of animators comprised a pharmacist and an HPT. The training was first delivered to a test audience, which enabled us to validate the length of the workshop (30 minutes) and highlighted misunderstandings mainly arising from the humorous tone of the training. After rephrasing and simplifying certain elements, the training was delivered to the 200 participants at the ANPPH congress. During the workshop, four simultaneous games were played, with two groups of 6 to 7 players competing against each other in each game. The small size of the teams and the random allocation of candidates encouraged everyone to participate. The humorous nature of the questions enabled the players to share their experiences, allowing the moderators to focus on the essential points while maintaining the pace of the game. The debriefing session, which included the distribution of a summary sheet, provided an opportunity to formalise the key GMP concepts discussed during the game.

Discussion/Conclusion
The satisfaction questionnaires and debriefing session at the end of the workshop enabled the training to be evaluated according to the first criterion of KirkPatrick’s model. Most of the participants were satisfied with the format and content. They praised the ‘game’ format and its humorous tone, emphasising that they had learned useful information for their professional practice. While the QUALIOPI questionnaire is currently being evaluated, the course of the game suggests that the level of learning was in line with expectations, thus confirming the suitability of this game-based learning model. The game could be adapted to suit residents and pharmacists.
