Workshop 4:Online reporting of hospital preparations (Prhosper tool): overview and discussion

Since the French ministerial decree of 7 August 2025, hospital preparations (HP) must be teledeclared to ANSM via the Prhosper application. The purpose of this declaration is to ensure that hospital preparation activity remains centered on patient needs and on the quality and safety of care, in light of their benefit-risk ratio.
This workshop offers feedback on the use of the tool, the difficulties encountered in the 2025 qualitative and quantitative assessment, and a Q&A session.
The 2025 review, national picture of HP activity, reports 1,724 HP declared by 72 hospital pharmacies (PUI), representing over 2 million units produced. Capsules (48%) and the oral route (63%) predominate, mainly for paediatric and neonatal use, in the cardiovascular, haematopoietic and neurological therapeutic areas. The presentation will also illustrate the value of extracted data in drug shortage situations. Finally, the workshop will aim to collectively identify the application’s strengths and areas for improvement, particularly with regard to harmonising the most widely used preparations and providing information when new medicinal products enter the market that could replace existing preparations.
