How it works

MultiWay System® has been designed and developed by JCE Biotechnology not only to introduce and transfer all products and accessories requiring constant sterility free of any containment breach, but also to remove and safely dispose of all hazardous, toxic and potentially infectious medical waste, including sharp items, especially used and handled within the context of specific hospital pharmacy applications and more specifically for the reconstitution of anticancer drugs.

The system ensures the protection of staff and their working environment, helping to avoid any contact with the products and thus to guard against any risk of contamination.

MultiWay System® includes a range of secure transfer doors of different diameters (MWS 150 and MWS 50) combined with a range of accessories and consumables.

Incorporating a secure locking system, it avoids any possibility of opening the door and accessories without the combined connection of those components.
Specifically regarding the secure transfer and disposal of toxic and potentially infectious and related medical waste, the system provides three solutions:

  • For the Secure Transfer of Solid Waste, via MWS 150 secure transfer door combined with:
  • Either one 56-litre Rigid Container (MW CTR50) made of HDPE material, gamma-irradiated, suitable for incineration, avoiding any need for prior handling and re-packing, and providing optimal safety and handling
  • Or alternatively, one 50-litre Flexible Container (MW CTS50) made of PVC material, gamma-irradiated
  • For the Secure Transfer of Liquid Waste, via MWS 50 transfer door combined with one 5-litre Rigid Container (MW CTR05) made of HDPE material, gamma-irradiated, suitable for incineration, avoiding any need for prior handling and re-packing, and providing optimal safety and handling.

All of those solutions duly meets the specific rules and regulations governing the incineration of toxic and potentially infectious and related medical waste [ISO 10648-2 (Air leak tightness of Containment Enclosures) / UN 3291 (Transport of potentially infectious and related medical/clinical waste) / NF 30-505 (Packaging of solid potentially infectious and related medical waste) & NF 30-506 (Packaging of liquid potentially infectious and related medical waste)].

This system is suitable for all types of isolators, walls or structures inside clean rooms or confined environments.
